Sports drinks and electrolyte replacement products are often very acidic (they typically have pH levels from 2.0 to 4.2 as supplied and mixed) and can contribute to low-grade acidosis in competitive athletes.

Acid Zapper Granules can help athletes more effectively glean the benefits of sports drinks and electrolyte replacement products by neutralizing their acidity. Adding ¼ of a level teaspoon (1,100 mg) of Acid Zapper Granules to an 8-ounce serving of sports drink increases its pH by at least 2pH units, meaning that approximately 99 percent of the drink’s acidity is neutralized.
